RCAI Expands Alderox®’s Reach in North America by Signing Major Mining Machinery Rebuilder
SAN CLEMENTE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RCAI (OTCBB:RCAA), a world leader in environmentally-friendly, productivity boosting Alderox® release agents and lubricants for heavy industry, announced today it has signed one of the nation’s leading re-builders and repairers of giant mining machinery, Modern Machine Works of Bismarck, North Dakota.
Modern Machine Works has been in business for nearly 100 years and for the past 25 years, has specialized in the surface mining industry, which uses giant drag lines and super heavy trucks.
Modern Machine Works President and CEO, Kris Lengenfelder, said, “We see a major opportunity within our customer base. There is an existing dead-bed issue with a significant number of our customers and we believe it can be addressed simply and cost-effectively with Alderox®.”
RCAI President, Gordon Davies, said, “Modern Machine’s customers are primarily coal and iron ore mines. Most of their customers run a combination of 240 ton and 380 ton trucks. The build-up of materials in the truck beds can be well in excess of 10% and even up to 50%.
“We are very pleased indeed to be aligned with Modern Machine Works as they are widely respected within the industry.”
Modern Machine Works has been in business since 1911 and services 21 dragline coal mines that utilize the Cat 797, 799, 793, Euclid side dumps and Kress 300 ton bottom dump type trucks. The company operates throughout North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming, with many mines in Canada as well. The company’s special expertise is the fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of the large sheaves, drums, conveyors, and drag lines, etc. at the mines.
“Alderox® is an easily applied solution to a problem that has been costing not only the mining industry enormous amounts of lost revenue, but also other industries where sticky ore and materials are a problem. We believe this relationship with Modern Machines will help us rapidly expand Alderox®’s impact on mining productivity where these handling issues exist,” concluded Davies.
Alderox®, a soy-based EcoLogo-certified lubricant, when sprayed inside truck beds and on mining machinery, prevents ore sticking that would otherwise have robbed trucks and equipment of carrying capacity.
